The Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) has demonstrated exceptional flexibility and leadership to get new EMT students in the pipeline to becoming an EMT in Texas. DSHS is working with educators to streamline the process for completing programs and becoming licensed. Similarly, the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) has approved a Provisional Certificate to help bring students into the workforce more quickly.
